The backhandspring is a basic tumbling movement where an athlete takes off from one or two feet, jumps backward onto the hands and lands on his or her feet. This skill can be done independently or in a series of skills. A back handspring can also be called a flip flop or flip flac. Buckhead Gymnastics and Cheer offers a fast paced clinic with non-stop drills, conditioning and assisted spotting to teach kids the basics of the skill while also providing a healthy environment to reinforce the class training. Clinics are a great place for your athlete to get some extra practice! Athletes must have a strong handstand to participate in the back handspring clinic.
