Competitive Gymnastics Teams

Buckhead gymnastics offers a range of competitive gymnastic team options. We follow USAG rules and regulations for our developmental, junior olympic, and Xcel teams. It is our goal to build athletic ability, confidence, teamwork, and sportsmanship through our competitive programs.

Developmental

Developmental gymnastics is designed for talented and gifted young girls between 4-7+ to be developed for competitive gymnastics. These girls are invited to a tryout, and if they meet the criteria, they will be invited to join our developmental team. With this team we strive to build a strong foundation of strength and fundamentals for gymnastics or any other future sport.

USAG 5 - 10

The USAG Level 5 - 10 group follows the USA Gymnastics Junior Olympic Program. At Buckhead Gymnastics, we compete at the compulsory and optional levels.  Optional gymnastics (6-10) is the final phase in the Junior Olympic program. Gymnasts perform at the level best suited for them; We believe in encouraging and developing confident and driven youth athletes.

XCEL

 The Xcel program is a USA Gymnastics program designed to offer a broad-based, competitive alternative to the traditional USA Gymnastics Jr. Olympic competitive programs. The Xcel Program at Buckhead Gymnastics allows gymnasts to participate in gymnastics while allowing them to also do other sports or activities. There are currently four levels of the USAG Xcel Program at Buckhead Gymnastics: Silver, Gold, Platinum and Diamond.
